May the Fourth be with You, USA-style!

If you happen to be around Killarney on the Fourth of July, you may hear USA, USA, USA being chanted from the streets or a group of grown men dressed as wild west cowboys roaming around town. All in celebration of America’s independence day!

Whether you are American, Irish, or any other nationality, you will be sure to have a fun time in Killarney because the town gets REALLY into the holiday. Plus, it’s an excuse to dress your dog up in a patriotic outfit.

July 4th

The festival is an all day event from 7am to 12-midnight. And the reason it is such a big celebration is because the United States and Ireland have always had a close relationship. Especially with about 40 million Irish in America, many Irish have close connections to America. One American in particular is John F. Kennedy. Many Irish absolutely love him and remember when he came to visit over 50 years ago. Plus, it’s a great excuse to hit the pubs in town!

Celebratory Events

Starting off the day right with the Star Spangled banner, Killarney will then transform into the classic American town, complete with a Wild West Troupe that will take you back in time. Through the afternoon, there will be a BBQ and a pipe band, all leading up to the big parade 8pm!

This parade is not to miss and will be followed by a street party, so get your own, personal outfit ready for that.

Because you could look as rad as these ladies do.

And the cherry on top? Fireworks will be set off from the Killarney House around 11:30!

We at Wild N Happy want YOU to experience that greatness of the Fourth in Killarney. It will be unlike any fourth of July you have ever celebrated before!
